DuPont Sued for PFOA in Drinking Water

At a glance:

The United Steelworkers Union has joined with other communities and groups to back a lawsuit against DuPont Co. over its handling of a chemical used in the manufacture of Teflon and other products.

At dispute is whether the amount of PFOA found in the water poses a hazard to health.

A class action lawsuit was filed against DuPont in April, asking for damages, costs, and medical monitoring programs for those affected.
