Dupont fights Teflon lawsuits

Dupont, the maker of the non-stick coating Teflon, faces multiple lawsuits alleging misleading statements and failure to warn about alleged dangers of Teflon-coated cookware. 
 
The lawsuit seeks class action status, and if successful, the plaintiff list would potentially include anyone who ever used a nonstick pan.

DuPont Co. is fighting a legal and public relations battle over the safety of Teflon-coated cookware to keep consumers from defecting from one of the company's best-known brands.
