Lawsuit Against Bausch & Lomb, Over Eye Infection Nightmare

At a glance:

A New York man is suing Bausch & Lomb as a result of the ordeal he is undergoing following a Fusarium Keratitis infection he suffered in 2005. 
 
After medication did not fully eradicate the infection he underwent several surgeries deep into his eye to clean out the infection, and when those did not work, removal of parts of the eye itself including the lens, iris, and vitreous fluid. 
 
He has received a cornea transplant and is awaiting an iris transplant, and has little vision remaining in the eye. 
 
Bausch & Lomb withdrew their contact lens cleaning solution ReNu with MoistureLoc this spring after it was found to increase risk of this infection.
