Philip Morris and RJ Reynolds are both testing a smokeless tobacco product that would help those addicted to nicotine get around the public bans on smoking that more and more communities are enacting.

These are not the chewing and spitting kinds of tobacco, but a neat pouch held against the gums. Nicotine is absorbed and while the effect is said to be less dramatic than that of smoking a cigarette, they are convenient and not disruptive to others.

The product still has a cancer risk and is still dangerous for pregnant women.

June 21, 2006 — Smokers who must step outside for that quick fix or whose states are considering public bans may not have to worry much longer — if a new tobacco product hits the market.

Two top U.S. tobacco companies are testing a new "pouch" product that would cease the need for lighters and matches.

hells to the yes thats cool dip pouches u don't have to spit? unthinkable well freakin sweet oh and by the way people have always known cigarettes were bad for u in some way thats their fault if theyh get sick so ya im on yalls side plus i like stoges and dip
