Light Cigarettes May Make Quitting More Difficult

More bad news for those who smoke "light" cigarettes: 
 
Not only are they just as bad for you as regular cigarettes, but they may make it more difficult to quit altogether. 
 
A study from the Harvard School of Public Health has shown that smokers of light cigarettes are less than half as likely to quit, and the the difference increases with age. Those over age 65 were three-quarters less likely to quit if they had ever smoked lights, than smokers of regular cigarettes. 
 
Over 12,000 smokers were surveyed for the study.

WebMD) Smoking low-tar and low-nicotine — or "light" — cigarettes may actually make it harder for smokers to kick the habit.
 
A new study shows that people who smoke light cigarettes are more than 50 percent less likely to quit smoking than those who smoke regular cigarettes.
