First Lawsuit Filed Over SAT Errors

At a glance:

A Minnesota high school student has become the first to file a lawsuit against the College Board and Pearson Educational Measurement, concerning the scoring errors that occurred on this year's SAT exams. 
 
The intent is to make this into a class action suit. 
 
The errors are blamed on quality control issues, the result of a sharply increased rate of testing which is part of the No Child Left Behind Law. 
 
Pearson Educational was held liable in a similar case in 2002 concerning a state exam required for graduation.

A high school senior whose SAT was incorrectly scored low is suing the board that oversees the exam and the company that was hired to score the tests.
 
The lawsuit, filed late Friday in Minnesota, is the first since last month's announcement that 4,411 students got incorrectly low scores and that more than 600 had better results than they deserved on
