Home Depot Sued After Woman Falls in Store

An Illinois woman is suing the Home Depot because of a fall she suffered last year in one of the stores. 
 
She claims a board was placed in such a way that she could not see it, and thus fell over it and was injured. 
 
She required surgery, physical therapy, and also seeks damages for lost wages and pain.


Home Depot sued for maintaining store in unreasonable manner

An Edwardsville woman claims Home Depot failed to maintain its store in a reasonable manner in a lawsuit filed May 19 in Madison County Circuit Court.
 
Riese Hall alleges she hurt her left knee, left elbow, and suffered a torn rotator cuff after tripping on a board she could not see while shopping at the Edwardsville store on May 24, 2005.
