Medtronic Wins Patent Dispute with J&J

Medtronic claims win in stent patent case

Medtronic Inc. Thursday announced it won a patent dispute with Johnson & Johnson over heart stents, used to open clogged coronary arteries.
 
Medtronic said an independent arbitration panel ruled that its Driver stent did not violate a licensing agreement involving patents held by J&J's (NYSE: JNJ) Cordis unit.
