Boston Scientific To Follow Guidelines of Heart Rhythm Society

Boston Scientific Corp. says it intends to implement all the recommendations put forth by the Heart Rhythm Society. 
 
These guidelines were developed following a recall of implanted cardiac defibrillators last year, and include: 
 
using remote monitoring to keep track of devices; independent committees for assessing device performance; direct communication with patients regarding potential problems.

NATICK -- Boston Scientific Corp. would include remote monitoring technologies in its cardiovascular devices if the company follows the recent recommendations of a physicians group.
 

 
The Natick device maker this week said it plans to implement all the recommendations in a draft report from the Heart Rhythm Society, a professional society that represents doctors who implant heart devices
