Nursing Home Lawsuit in Mississippi re Hepatitis Outbreak

A hospital and nursing home in Neshoba, Mississippi faces a lawsuit by relatives of two women who died there allegedly as a result of a hepatitis outbreak in 2003. 
 
Fifteen of the home's patients tested positive for Hepatitis B after an instrument used to prick fingers for blood tests was found to have been reused many times without sterilization.

Supervisors hired their attorney last week to defend the county in a lawsuit filed after a 2003 hepatitis outbreak in the county-owned nursing home.
 
Following a brief executive session, the Board of Supervisors on Monday retained Wade White to represent the county in the lawsuit filed by Shirley Summers, individually, and on behalf of the wrongful death beneficiaries of Mary Musgrove, deceased
