A Superior Court judge on Friday declined to interfere with a civil jury verdict that cleared a plastic surgeon of medical wrongdoing when he performed breast reduction surgery on a Randolph woman who says she was mutilated and left flat-chested.
 
A month after a Morris County jury found that Denville plastic surgeon Dr. Richard Marfuggi did not deviate from accepted standards of medical care, the lawyer for patient Deborah Wrede, 52, unsuccessfully asked Judge Stephen F. Smith in Morristown to set aside the verdict as "a miscarriage of justice.
