Veritas Suit to Proceed

U.S. District Judge Sue L. Robinson said shareholders had raised enough questions about the Mountain View, Calif., software maker's financial statements for those years for the case to go to trial.
 
Central to the lawsuit are accusations that Veritas artificially pumped up its share price by improperly recognizing revenue from unsigned or otherwise questionable contracts with customers.
