US telecoms firm investigated over stock options
THREE more American technology companies announced yesterday that they were looking into the way in which senior executives had been granted stock options, bringing to about 17 the number of companies said to be embroiled in questionable practices.
Juniper Networks, the telecoms equipment maker, Openwave Systems, a software provider, and CNET Holdings, an online media business, all confirmed that they had either been contacted by regulators or had launched internal investigations into the timing and pricing of stock options.
