Enron Execs Lay, Skilling, Convicted

At a glance:

The jury is in, for the trial of Kenneth Lay and Jeffrey Skilling. 
 
Lay was found guilty of fraud and conspiracy on all six counts charged, and faces as much as 45 years in prison. 
 
Skilling was convicted on 19 of 28 counts, innocent only on some counts of insider trading. 
 
Pending sentencing, they remain at large, on bond.


Jury Convicts Enron Executives

A jury in Houston this morning convicted former Enron executives Kenneth Lay and Jeffrey Skilling of fraud, conspirary and other charges.
 
The panel spent 31 hours over five days trying to determine the guilt or innocence of the Enron founder and his chief executive in the collapse of the one-time energy giant
