Bolivia Wants Piece of Enron, Too

The Government of Bolivia has joined the masses of litigants who claim they were defrauded by Enron. 
 
It is suing some Bolivian government officials and some Enron executives over alleged bribes and illegal profits concerning a natural gas pipeline project from Bolivia to Brazil.


Bolivia says to sue ex-Enron execs for fraud

LA PAZ, Bolivia (Reuters) - Bolivia's government said on Friday it would sue former executives of U.S. energy company Enron as well as former government officials for fraud in relation to the Brazil natural gas pipeline project that was completed in the 1990s.
 
Among the approximately 40 people to be included in the charges are former President Gonzalo Sanchez de Lozada and several U.S. citizens, Energy Minister Andres Soliz told a news conference in La Paz
