Insurance Company Sued for Refusing Life Insurance Payment

A widow is suing an insurance company in Canada for refusing payment on her husband's policy.
 
What happened was, the woman served him with divorce papers which resulted in his becoming violent and stabbing her and her mother with a large knife. The women fled and called police, who eventually shot and killed the man when he made threatening gestures towards them.
 
The reason for the insurance company's refusal of payment?
 
Failure to report a pre-existing medical condition (cancer).
 
The widow claims that the insurance agent who sold them the policy advised them not to mention it at the time.

The widow of a crazed, knife-wielding man gunned down by police is suing their insurer for not paying compensation for his untimely death.
 
Court documents obtained yesterday by Sun Media show Kuldeep Kaur Cheema is seeking $250,000 in damages for the death of the man who nearly killed her.
 
Her husband, Harjinder Singh Cheema, was fatally shot by Calgary police on Jan. 21, 2005, after he repeatedly stabbed her and her mothe
