NFL'er Sues Insurance Company for False Representation

Andre Johnson, a professional football player with the Houston Texans, is suing AmerUs Life Insurance and an insurance agent, claiming false representations with regard to policies he purchased.
 
Mr. Johnson has a $39 million contract with the Texans, and purchased a $43 million policy whose premiums cost over $300,000 per year. He asserts that he was told the policy would be necessary for retirement income, however he is already covered by the NFL's pension plan.

Houston Texans wide receiver Andre Johnson, a former University of Miami football star, is suing an insurance company and agent, claiming he was duped into signing up for $43 million in needless policies that are costing him $375,000 in annual premiums.
