Ritalin Class Action Lawsuit Launched Against Company

Pharmaceutical company Novartis, maker of the drug Ritalin, is now facing a class action lawsuit. According to the five families who are launching the suit, children as young as seven years old suffered cardiac episodes and hallucinations after taking the commonly prescribed drug.
 
The five children, aged 7 to 14, all experienced serious side effects after consuming Ritalin, said Simon Harrison a partner at a Queensland law firm. The families plan to seek damages for the long-term side effects of Ritalin, in addition to the health problems they have already encountered.

FIVE families are launching a class action against pharmaceutical company Novartis after children as young as seven suffered cardiac episodes and hallucinations after taking Ritalin.
 
Simon Harrison, a partner at Queensland law firm Nicol Robinson Halletts said the five children, aged between 7 and 14, all experienced serious side effects after taking the drug, including heart palpitations and hallucinations.
