A new study indicates that cox-2 inhibitors, the same medications recently vilified for causing heart attacks in arthritis patients, may protect against breast cancer and perhaps other cancers. 
 
However vioxx is already off the market and warnings against these medications are well-publicized. 
 
Research will be geared towards finding dosages and indications that weigh the benefits against the risks.

A new study just released at the American Association of Cancer Researchers meeting in Washington, D.C., showed women who take medication to ease their arthritis pain are also protecting themselve
