Celebrex May Also Lead to Increased Rick of Heart Attacks According to Study

Celebrex, like Vioxx, may cause a high incidence of heart attacks, a recent New Zealand study found. Celebrex is a Cox-2 Inhibitor, developed to treat arthritis and other inflammatory conditions. Cox-2 inhibitors, despite their excellent history with pain relief, and lack of stomach related side effects, have been linked with a large increase in the risk of heart attack among patients. According to this new study by the New Zealand Medical Research Institute, Celebrex may be as risky as Vioxx, but drug company Pfizer is disputing the results of the study.
