Paxil Class Action Lawsuit Filed Against Glaxo SmithKline

Two adolescent victims of drug defects from the anti-depressant drug Paxil have filed a national class action lawsuit in Philadelphia against the drug company Glaxo SmithKline. Both young men were prescribed the drug and one committed suicide while on the drug while the other attempted suicide. These two defective drug victims represent all young people, under 18, who have been prescribed Paxil and have suffered adverse and suicidal emotional side effects. The class action lawsuit includes charges of fraud, product liability and negligence, among others.

The mother of an 11-year old Wichita, Kansas boy who committed suicide on Paxil and a teenager from Pflugerville, Texas (a small town outside of Austin) who attempted suicide while taking Paxil, jointly filed a national class action lawsuit today in federal court in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the hometown of Paxil-maker, Glaxo SmithKline.
