Kidney Failure Among Surgical Complications for Patient

A North Carolina patient is being sued by his hospital in a strange case involving alleged hospital negligence. 
 
The patient initially was told to expect a five day hospitalization but ended up staying for five months due to complications of lung surgery which he claims were due to poor care. 
 
He suffered a stroke, kidney failure, respiratory and neurological problems.  
 
He had no health insurance and is refusing to pay his hospital bill because of the problems; the hospital is suing him for $650,000. 
 


Man still awaiting outcome of hospital’s lawsuit

A man who went into the Craven Regional Medical Center thinking he was staying for five days but stayed nearly five months is still awaiting the outcome of the hospital’s $650,000 lawsuit against him.
 
The former patient is adamant about not paying the bill for his hospital stay.
