Benzene May Form in Fruit Drinks

Consumers in several parts of the US have filed a class-action lawsuit against Talking Rain Beverage, Zone Beverages and Polar Beverages, alleging that ingredients in the fruit drinks they make can react to form benzene, which causes health problems including cancer.
 
The companies and other beverage makers say they have changed their formulation to avoid this problem, but the plaintiffs are still seeking damages.
