New Clot-Busting Stroke Drugs Tested in Washington DC

An experimental program in Washington DC is testing a new combination of clot-busting drugs for stroke victims. 
 
The drugs are useful up to 24 hours after the onset of a stroke, instead of the 3 hours for current medications - when they are even available.

Baltimore, MD Strokes are the number three killer in the US and the number one cause of debilitation. However, after experimental trials that are taking place in our region, the numbers may significantly reduce the negative effects of a stroke.
 
Many doctors will tell you the first three hours after a stroke are the most important for getting effective care.
