Investigation into Drugs Causing Stevens Johnson Syndrome

A law firm in Washington DC is looking into claims against several drugmakers with regard to serious skin disorder side effects such as Stevens Johnson Syndrome. 
 
Aside from medications already known to have this risk, (sulfonamides, penicillins, barbiturates, phenytoin) there are new reports of reactions caused by NSAIDs including ibuprofen preparations such as Advil and Motrin, COX-2 inhibitors such as celebrex, and antibiotics such as Zithromax.

(OPENPRESS) May 27, 2006 -- Many of the medications that lead to Stevens Johnson Syndrome and other related skin disorders are “over the counter” (OTC) medications that do not require a prescription such as Children’s Advil and Children’s Motrin.
 
Ennis & Ennis, P.A. announced it is investigating claims against the makers of several medications for side effects resulting in severe skin disorders including: Stevens Johnson Syndrome, Erythema Multiforme, Leyll's Syndrome and Toxic Epidermal Necrolysis
