"Botox" Injections by Unlicensed Practitioners May be Fatal

The American Society for Dermatologic Surgery warns that cosmetic treatments must be performed by reputable physicians and that sharply discounted prices may not reflect the actual product claimed. 
 
This was in response to reports of some deaths in California after women were allegedly injected with an unidentified substance by a hairstylist who made house calls for the procedure. 
 
Even if genuine botox is used, it is a dangerous substance which must be administered by a trained, license professional. Some complications include facial paralysis and deformity.


Dermatology society warns of bogus Botox

New York - Recent reports of "bogus Botox" injections that resulted in the deaths of several women has prompted the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery (ASDS) to issue a statement warning the public against seeking cosmetic treatments from non-physicians.
 
"Never have any injections done unless it's in a reputable physician's office, because it's unsafe," Dr Rhoda Narins, past president of ASDS, told Reuters Health

I recently recieved a letter from a local plastic surgen telling me that 2 years ago he used a non fda approved botox on his patients I had this procedure done several times during these two years, he said he has been order to give a full refund to his patients via fda and i am suppose to make an appointment to recieve the $. Should I do this?
