Lawsuit Filed Over Cessna Crash near Chicago

At a glance:

A wrongful death lawsuit was filed in Chicago in regard to a private plane crash there last January. 
 
Scott Garland and 3 others were killed when the Cessna they were riding in, crashed. 
 
The suit names the pilot, the engine manufacturer Teledyne Industries, and the maintenace company which serviced the plane, T.W. Smith Engine Co., as defendants for 10 counts of wrongful death and negligence and seeks $50,000 for each count.


Wrongful Death Suit Filed In Wheeling Plane Crash

(STNG) CHICAGO A lawsuit was filed Thursday on behalf of a Chicago man who was killed when a small plane in which he was a passenger crashed upon approach to Palwaukee Airport in Wheeling on Jan. 30, 2006.
 
Scott A. Garland, 40, of the Northwest Side, died when a Cessna 421B aircraft crashed en route to the airport, killing the pilot and three others aboard the plane, including the founder of the the Sybaris Clubs, an adult resort chain, according to the suit filed in Cook County Circuit Court
