Switch Maker Denies Responsibility in Ford Fires

The trial is yet to begin, but the company that made the Ford cruise control switches that have been accused of catching fire even while vehicles are parked, denies responsibility. 
 
Along with Ford, Sensata Technologies is named as a defendant. The company previously was a division of Texas Instruments under which name it manufactured the switches. 
 
The denial came in relation to the Mohlis family lawsuit, where Earl Mohlis and his three children are suing over the death of Mrs. Mohlis and the destruction of their home.


Sensor maker denies fault in Ford truck fire lawsuit

DES MOINES, Iowa A Massachusetts-based company is denying responsibility for a pickup truck fire that killed an Iowa woman last year.
 
Earl Mohlis and his three grown children filed a lawsuit against Ford Motor Company and Texas Instruments, claiming that a faulty cruise control switch caused the blaze that spread from the Mohlis' garage
