Mitsubishi and Suzuki Order Recalls of Almost 30,000 Vehicles

Mitsubishi and Suzuki each issued recalls on almost 30,000 vehicles this week according to the Japanese Transport Ministry. Mitsubishi recalled 21,000 trucks with potentially faulty seat belt buckles that may be prone to cracking while Suzuki recalled about 8,000 SUVs because of battery leakage that may corrode pipes leading to fluid leakage and vehicle failure.

Mitsubishi Fuso, Suzuki to recall vehicles over defects

Mitsubishi Fuso's recall involves about 21,000 trucks, while Suzuki's covers some 7,600 sport-utility vehicles made by General Motors Corp. of the United States.
 
Mitsubishi Fuso said in its report submitted to the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport that seatbelt buckles in the Fuso Fighter medium-sized truck, made between September 2003 and last month, may be prone to cracking.
 
Suzuki said in its report to the ministry that it will recall Chevrolet Trail Blazer vehicles made by GM and imported by the Japanese automaker between October 1991 and July 1998 because of possible fluid leakage from pipes corroded by battery-
