Amtrak Passenger Train Kills Motorist in Train Accident

At a glance:

A Terry, Mississippi man was killed when his Honda Accord was hit by an Amtrak Passenger train in a deadly train accident. The car was broadsided by the train after witnesses heard the car's horn honking. The warning lights and system at the train tracks were disengaged and apparantly under repair or in the midst of installation. The functionality of the cross arms and warning lights are the responsibility of the train company.

The train threw the car 66 yards down the tracks. flipping the sedan upside down and splitting it in half.
 
"He was a person always had a smile on his face all the time, always kept a smile," said Holly's uncle, Willie Holly.
 
Holly says his nephew never would have crossed the tracks if he had known the train was coming. But the warning lights are covered in plastic bags and the cross arms have not yet
