56 Year Old Conducto Injured In Train Accident

At a glance:

A 56 year old conductor with the Union Railroad lost his leg in a train accident while trying to connect two cars. He was pulled under the train and also suffered an arm injury. He was airlifted to a local hospital. Train accidents of this nature are somewhat rare and investigators are looking at the causes of the incident to ensure that the both the company or an individual are not to blame for the incident.

According to police, the man -- whose name hasn't been released -- was working as a conductor for Union Railroad.
 
He got caught between two train cars while trying to connect them on the tracks near Duquesne Boulevard and Oakmont Aven
