Honda Recalling Vehicles for Ignition Key Problems

At a glance:

Honda is recalling nine vehicle models because of ignition key interlock problems.  
 
The key may be withdrawn from the ignition even when the car is not in "park". 
 
Models include the Fit, Stream, Civic, and several others, all with automatic transmissions. 
 
Over 400,000 vehicles are involved.


Honda to fix 420,000 vehicles

Honda in Japan says it will repair the Fit subcompact, the Stream minivan and seven other models, produced between April 2001 and March 2002, because of key interlock problems.
 
Honda said 423,344 automatic vehicles are subject to the repairs. Their ignition keys can be removed even when the shift lever is not in the park position
